Terms of Use

Effective and last updated: August 13, 2026

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms form an electronic contract between you and the legal operator displayed by Istiqtab. By creating an account or purchasing a service, you confirm that you are at least 18, have legal capacity, and accept these Terms, the Privacy Policy and Payments & Returns Policy. A representative registering an employer confirms authority to bind that organization.

2. Platform role

Istiqtab provides technology for candidates to create professional profiles and for verified employers to find and organize potential candidates. Unless separately and lawfully agreed, Istiqtab is not the employer, does not make an offer or employment decision, does not guarantee a vacancy or candidate, and is not a party to an employment contract. Describing the service as a technology platform does not remove any licensing obligation imposed on its actual activities.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate information, keep it current, use only your own account and protect your credentials. Notify security@istiqtab.com promptly of suspected compromise. We may require email, identity, company or Commercial Registration verification and may reject or pause access when verification cannot be completed.

4. Candidate terms

  • You control whether your profile is marked as looking for work and therefore searchable by verified employers.
  • You must have the right to submit all CV content and must not misrepresent qualifications, identity or work authorization.
  • Do not upload unnecessary sensitive data, government IDs, confidential employer material or third-party personal data without authority.
  • Core profile creation and genuine employment discovery are not conditioned on buying Candidate Premium. Premium never buys employer ranking, visibility or placement.

5. Employer terms

  • Use candidate data only for a specific, genuine and lawful recruitment purpose and limit access to staff who need it.
  • Apply job-relevant criteria, independently review profiles and make human, non-discriminatory decisions. Do not infer or use protected or sensitive traits.
  • Do not scrape, bulk-download, resell, advertise to, harass, background-check without lawful authority, or retain candidate data longer than necessary.
  • Comply with Saudi labour, Saudization, job-advertising, interview, immigration and data-protection requirements, and obtain any authorization required for your recruitment activities.
  • Delete or return candidate data when the recruitment purpose ends or the candidate lawfully requests it, unless retention is legally required.

6. Fair discovery and human decisions

Broad browsing is disabled. Employers must use at least one hard filter and one educational filter; professional and skills filters are optional. Candidate Premium status is not disclosed to employers and does not affect ordering or visibility. The service does not provide an automated employability score or automatic shortlisting. Comparison and workflow tools assist organization only; the employer remains responsible for contextual, human review.

7. Premium services and payment

Candidate Premium costs SAR 19.99 per month and Employer Premium costs SAR 290 per month. Each successful payment activates one month of access. The current checkout uses manual monthly renewal and does not automatically charge the next month. Features and the price are shown before payment. Candidate Premium consists only of candidate-side productivity tools; it is not a fee for obtaining work. Payments, renewal, cancellation, refunds, tax and activation are governed by the Payments & Returns Policy and mandatory Saudi consumer law.

8. Prohibited conduct

You may not break the law; discriminate; impersonate; submit malware; bypass access controls or rate limits; probe the service without written authorization; scrape or create a shadow candidate database; send spam; publish deceptive jobs; demand unlawful candidate payments; misuse CVs; or use the platform for surveillance, credit, insurance or another incompatible purpose.

9. Content and intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant the operator a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, format and display it only as needed to provide, secure and improve the contracted service according to the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having all necessary rights. The Istiqtab name, software and original interface content remain owned by the operator or its licensors. Feedback may be used without identifying you.

10. Privacy and confidentiality

Personal-data processing is governed by the Privacy Policy and Saudi PDPL. Employer access to a profile is confidential and purpose-limited, not a transfer of ownership. Each employer is responsible for its own processing after receiving candidate data. Optional local CV auto-fill requires separate consent and is not necessary to use the manual CV builder.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and request account deletion. We may restrict or terminate access for material breach, fraud, unlawful use, security risk, failed verification or legal requirement. Where practicable, we provide notice and an opportunity to remedy; urgent restrictions may be immediate. Termination does not remove accrued payment, confidentiality, intellectual-property, privacy or dispute obligations.

12. Service changes and availability

We may maintain or improve the service and may discontinue a feature with reasonable notice where practicable. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or a hiring outcome. We will not materially remove paid functionality without providing a lawful remedy. Information submitted by users may be inaccurate; users must perform their own checks.

13. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that Saudi law does not permit us to exclude. To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. Any permitted monetary cap must be assessed by Saudi counsel against the operator's legal form, service and consumer obligations before launch; these Terms do not impose an artificial cap.

14. Law, complaints and changes

Saudi law governs these Terms. Contact support@istiqtab.com first so a complaint can be investigated. Nothing limits a consumer's right to use the competent Saudi authority or court. Material changes will be notified before taking effect where required and will not retroactively remove accrued rights. If Arabic and English conflict, the Arabic text prevails to the extent permitted by law.
